Parsa is the furniture publishing house co-created by Shiva Shayan and Thomas Vlach, through which they share a common passion for furniture and natural stone.

Shiva is a publisher of Iranian origin, with access to her country’s exceptional stone quarries. Thomas is artistic director of the company, and designer of the Parsa furniture collection.

Started in 2020, between meeting local artisans, selecting precious know-how, and continually perfecting the first creations, Parsa presents the fruit of this happy collaboration.

The project also aims to shed light on an often forgotten aspect of Iran. Once the world cradle of Persian arts and crafts, today’s Iranian artisans perpetuate their ancestral know-how through contemporary creations.

One of the highlights of the range is Otello, a solid granite table with softly shaped legs carved from a single block of stone. It’s like a manifesto outlining the possibilities offered by the Parsa project.
