Parsa is the furniture project co-created by Shiva Shayan and Thomas Vlach, through which they express their mutual passion for furniture and natural stone.

Shiva is an editor of Iranian origin, with access to her country’s exceptional stone quarries. Thomas is artistic director of the company, and designer of the Parsa furniture collection.

Initiated in 2020, the Parsa journey has involved many phases, including interaction with local artisans, the meticulous selection of fine craftsmanship, and the continuous refinement of the initial creations. Parsa presents the fruit of this joyful collaboration.

The project also aims to highlight an often forgotten aspect of Iran. Once the world’s cradle of Persian arts and crafts, today’s Iranian artisans perpetuate their ancestral know-how through contemporary creations.

One of the centerpieces of the collection is Otello, a solid granite table with gracefully carved legs from a single block of stone. It serves as a manifesto, showcasing the possibilities that Parsa offers.
